Ir NORDIN MAT YUSOFF
Chairman, Malaysian Shipowners' Association
Nordin Mat Yusoff, aged 47, is the Vice President
of Fleet Management Services.
He joined PETRONAS in 1989 and has served in
various capacities in PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd
and PETRONAS Tankers Sdn Bhd before joining MISC
in 2001.
Prior to joining PETRONAS, he was with Malaysia
Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd (MSE) and was
involved in project management of various new
shipbuilding and offshore structures fabrication
works.
He currently sits as Committee Members of various
Classification Societies and International
Shipping Organizations. He is also a Director of
the P&I Club, the Chairman of Malaysia Shipowners’
Association (MASA) and various subsidiaries of
MISC Berhad.
Nordin graduated from University of Glasgow,
Scotland with a degree in Naval Architecture &
Ocean Engineering and is a registered Professional
Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Prior to the appointment of Vice President, Fleet
Management Services on 1 April 2005, he was the
Senior Manager of the same division.
