interest of Malaysian

Malaysia in its efforts to
develop a commercially viable
and efficient national fleet
for both the domestic and
international trade

To represent members of the
association in their
collective dealing with
the Government of Malaysia and
its agencies, shippers' and
other organisations on
matters of mutual interest

To foster mutual assistance
and co-operation among members
and to provide
forums for discussion and
exchange of views on matters
of mutual interest

At the discretion of the
Executive Committee to make or
assist any member to make
representation to any
Government agency or
organisation or individual as
necessary

To collate and analyse data,
publish and distribute
newsletters and other
periodicals to disseminate
information of interest to
members, subject to prior
approval of the competent
authority

To conduct courses, seminars
or lectures to further the
professional
skills of members

To support educational and
training institutions involved
in maritime affairs

To become a member of national
and international
organisations for the benefit
of members and to represent
Malaysia at international
shipping meetings and forums
as necessary

To rent or own premises and to
engage required personnel to
conduct the activities of the
Association
